About the role
The role of an Instructional Science Coach at Broward County Public Schools involves supporting teachers in elementary and middle schools to enhance science education practices and outcomes. Responsibilities
- Supporting teachers in implementing effective science teaching strategies and curricula
- Assisting in the development and implementation of professional development programs for teachers
- Evaluating teacher performance and providing feedback to improve instructional practices
- Mentoring and coaching teachers to improve their science instruction
- Collaborating with other educators, administrators, and community partners to enhance science education
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Education, Science, or related field
- Experience as a science teacher or coach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people
- Knowledge of current science education standards and best practices
