Science Adjunct Instructor

Responsibilities

• Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement
• Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs
• Mastery of subject matter and ongoing professional development
• Maintain compliance with accreditation and institutional policies
• Collaborate with other staff members and implement new projects

Requirements

• Appropriate credential, license, or certification
• Experience in the respective field or teaching experience
• Advanced subject matter expertise and effective presentation skills
• Flexibility, creativity, and dependability
• Knowledge of MS Office applications and learning technologies
• Ability to work independently and multitask
• Compliance with FERPA and institutional policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and active/current certification for IT instructors
• Bachelor's and master's degrees with relevant coursework for general education instructors
• At least three years’ experience in the respective field or two years of teaching experience
• Synchronous online teaching experience preferred

Pay

$33 - $38 USD per hour

Schedule

Variable hours, typically Monday through Friday, with weekend and evening hours required. Live classes are scheduled twice a week (Monday and Tuesday) from 6:00pm-9:30pm PT.
