Job Responsibilities
- Captures and edits high quality images for various print and online applications.
- Serves as a principle source of information on photographic equipment and techniques.
- Maintains quality control throughout production of assigned photography projects.
- Understands software applications and operation guides (Ortery, Capture One - Training Provided).
- Participates in strategic and creative concept development to achieve optimum photos.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in photographic and editing technology.
- Maintains photographic archives and documents related images for future searches.
Requirements
- Master product photography fundamentals by consistently capturing high-quality, accurate, and visually appealing images that showcase products effectively for both e-commerce and print applications.
- Develop strong editing and retouching skills using Adobe Photoshop and related software to enhance image quality, maintain consistency, and ensure all photos meet company standards.
- Thrive in an independent, fast-paced environment by managing multiple assignments, prioritizing work effectively, and delivering results with minimal supervision.
- Become the go-to expert on photography equipment and techniques by building expertise with DSLR cameras, lighting setups, image capture workflows, and emerging photography best practices.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail by ensuring image accuracy, color consistency, proper formatting, and quality control throughout the entire production process.
- Leverage specialized software tools such as Ortery and Capture One to streamline image capture, editing, and asset management workflows.
- Partner effectively with the E-Commerce team by supporting website content updates, understanding how product imagery influences online customer experiences, and contributing to digital merchandising initiatives.
- Bring creativity and innovation to product presentation by participating in concept development, identifying opportunities to improve visual storytelling, and continuously exploring new photography and editing technologies.
- Stay organized and process-oriented by maintaining photographic archives, documenting images correctly, and ensuring digital assets are searchable and accessible for future use.
- Achieve a continuous learning mindset by staying current on advancements in photography equipment, editing software, and e-commerce imaging trends to continuously improve quality and efficiency.
