School Student Support Staff
Community Youth Ministries (CYM) of Reedley, CA is seeking a part-time ELP Student Support Staff member to make a meaningful impact in education and youth development.
About the Role
As a Student Support Staff, you will assist local school administration with varied tasks, including supervising students (grades K-8) during transitions, supporting classrooms or offices, and providing individualized attention to help students succeed. Your role involves employing effective classroom management, positive discipline, and serving as a professional role model to foster confidence and capability in students.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students in grades K-8 during transitions and activities.
- Assist in classrooms or offices as needed.
- Provide individualized support to help students succeed academically.
- Employ effective classroom management and positive discipline techniques.
- Maintain a professional and supportive demeanor as a role model.
- Adapt to different learning levels and Common Core requirements.
Qualifications
- 48+ completed college units OR a paraeducator certificate.
- Passion for fostering a love of learning in young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to resolve conflicts positively.
- Experience managing groups of children across a wide age range.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic learning environment.
Pay
$19.71 to $22.79 per hour.

Schedule
Schedule B: 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (4.5 hours per day).
Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM (4.5 hours).
This position requires fingerprint clearances from the DOJ and FBI for all employees working with students.
