School Sports Coaching Position

Ethical and Professional Conduct

Demonstrate integrity, fairness, and respect in all interactions. Adhere to the school's code of conduct, athletic department policies, and state athletic association regulations. Avoid any behavior that could be construed as abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate.

Program Management/Student-Athlete Development

• Plan and conduct organized practices that emphasize skill development, conditioning, and team strategies
• Ensure athletes are supervised at all times during practices, games, and travel
• Take proper care of equipment, facilities, and uniforms, and report any damages or safety issues immediately
• Prioritize the physical, emotional, and academic well-being of every student-athlete
• Promote sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and personal responsibility
• Encourage academic excellence and support classroom performance and attendance

Communication

• Maintain clear, consistent, and respectful communication with athletes, parents, school staff, and administration
• Respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Provide schedules, team rules, and expectations at the beginning of each season

Collaboration

• Work in coordination with other coaches, athletic staff, and administration to support the overall athletic program
• Promote multi-sport participation and avoid scheduling conflicts that limit athlete opportunities
• Attend required meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops

Game Day Expectations

• Exhibit professionalism on the sidelines; maintain composure and set a positive tone regardless of game outcomes
• Treat opponents, officials, and spectators with courtesy and respect
• Ensure all players exhibit sportsmanship and represent the school with pride

Safety and Compliance

• Maintain current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and NFHS courses
• Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures provided by athletic trainer
• Monitor athlete eligibility and ensure compliance with academic and medical requirements

Role Modeling and Leadership

• Be a consistent example of punctuality, preparation, and accountability
• Uphold and enforce team rules and consequences fairly and consistently
• Mentor student-athletes in leadership, character, and life skills

This is a stipend paid position per season. There is no guarantee of continued coaching position for the future school years. SLED, Criminal County and Federal records, Multi State sex offender, government watchlist and SSN Trace
