About the role

Help students find their voice and build confidence! Join Cross Country Education as a Speech-Language Pathologist and make a meaningful impact by helping K–12 students strengthen communication skills, access their education, and reach their full potential during the 2026–2027 school year in Puyallup, WA. Conduct speech, language, fluency, voice, and social-communication evaluations and provide individualized or small-group therapy for K–12 students. Develop and monitor communication goals, maintain accurate service documentation, and contribute to IEPs and multidisciplinary meetings. Evaluate and support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other communication tools for students with complex needs. Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate communication strategies into the classroom and support student success.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
  • Active Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist (DOH) license and Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certification
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) or qualifying clinical fellowship status
  • Successful completion of required background checks and applicable state/district employment requirements
  • Previous school‑based experience preferred
  • Out‑of‑state candidates must meet applicable reciprocity or temporary credential requirements

Pay

Earn $53.10 – $54.20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives.

Schedule

Predictable 37.5‑hour schedule aligned with the school calendar and operational needs, plus paid sick leave. Position duration: 41 weeks, 40 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts.
