School Speech Language Pathologist - $2,340 per week

About the role

This is a contract position for a School Speech Language Pathologist / SLP to join a growing school team for a 42-week assignment. The schedule is 7 hours per day, days shift, 35 hours per week, running from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Requirements

• New York State Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP)
• New York State Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech-Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• At least 6 months of experience employing behavior analytic principles with children with ASD
• Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, including Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) highly preferred
• No prior work with the New York City Department of Education within the past year
