School Speech Language Pathologist - $1,966 per week

About the role

AHS Staffing is seeking a travel School Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week position starting ASAP in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a travel-lover's dream opportunity in the Eagle River, AK area for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education/treatment programs for students with communication disorders
• Assess speech and language skills of students and consult with teachers to develop IEP goals and objectives
• Provide resources, modeling strategies, and training to other team members in communication interventions
• Communicate regularly with involved school staff, parents, and students regarding individual student assessment and progress

Requirements

• Masters Degree in Communication and Speech Disorders
• Type C teaching certification through the state of AK Department of Education
• Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) preferred, but strong candidates with school-based fieldwork are eligible
• Familiarity with the IEP process is helpful

Qualifications

• Previous school system experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist is a plus but not required

Pay

The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 37.5 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
