School Social Worker (Long-term Substitute)

Responsibilities

• Provide social work services to students, families, and staff within the Normandale Elementary school setting.
• Assess and address social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students and families.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop and implement interventions and support plans.
• Conduct home visits and provide outreach services to families as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• Current School Social Worker license issued through PELS.
• Experience working with children and families in a school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
• Master's degree in Social Work preferred.

Skills

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of child development and mental health issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

The wage for this position is $287.64 per day.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8.0 hours per day from August 24, 2026 through December 18, 2026 (dates are approximate and subject to change).
