School Site Childcare (Keller) - Youth Development Specialist (Part-Time)

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Accountable for adherence to all organizational health and safety policies and implementation of all safety practices and procedures at assigned site
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect members, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities
• Abside by facility maintenance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance
• Accountable for reporting incidents and completing documentation within the required timeline
• Maintain discipline, de-escalate conflict between members and/or others
• Acquire and renew CPR and First Aid certification by deadline

Administrative Compliance

• Complete all required reports and administrative duties on time
• Collect and manage required data and internal and external reporting
• Ensure accuracy of data and reporting
• Ensure the effective completion of all assessment and measurement activities of programs
• Comply with all administrative policies and procedures, processes, and controls
• Accountable for accurate and timely collection and review of membership applications
• Accountable for accurate and timely paperwork, reports, and data entry
• Accountable for utilizing all BGCGTC communication tools regularly and effectively

Programming

• Accountable for assigned programming and activities
• Accountable for quality programming and activities and implementing YPQ techniques
• Accountable for promoting and maintaining a culture of safety in program area(s)
• Accountable for assigned special programs and initiatives

Relationships

• Be a positive role model
• Maintain emotional control and make good decisions under pressure
• Represent the Boys & Girls Club in a positive manner

Requirements

• Education and work experience requirements: High school diploma or equivalent6 months of experience working with youth
• Must meet state requirements for employment at licensed childcare site
• Minimum Qualifications: Available to work between the hours of 2 pm-7 pm Monday–Friday during the school year; up to 37.5 hours per week during summer Monday-Friday.
• Able to be a positive role model
• Able to establish rapport and build relationships
• Able to relate to at-risk youth
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
• Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time

Preferred Qualifications

• Some College
• Ability to facilitate, teach, or instruct
• Bilingual

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly pay: $14.05 (Non-Exempt)
• Benefits: Eligible for paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay
