About the Role

As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will develop and implement individualized education and treatment programs for students whose communication abilities have been impacted by developmental differences, disabilities, or injuries. This in-person, float-position role allows you to work with young learners in a supportive school environment, making a lasting impact on their development. The caseload will be determined during the interview process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize specialized materials, equipment, and environments essential to the speech and language program.
  • Provide educationally related communication intervention for students with language, speech, or hearing disorders in various settings.
  • Assess speech and language skills of students suspected of having communication disorders and consult with teachers to develop IEP goals and objectives.
  • Provide resources, modeling strategies, and training to other team members on communication interventions.
  • Communicate regularly with school staff (special and general education), parents, and students regarding assessment results and progress.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Washington state SLP license.
  • ESA certificate (or eligibility to obtain one quickly).

Pay

$58–$62 per hour.
