About the role

The School Services School Speech Language Pathologist will provide speech and language services to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), develop treatment plans, and participate in meetings such as MET and IEP. This role involves classroom integration, consultation with teachers and parents, and support for students using augmentative communication devices.

Responsibilities

  • Develops treatment plans, interventions, and/or educational materials for individualized student objectives and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Speech and language services to students with IEPs.
  • Evaluate students in the area of speech and language as determined by the MET team.
  • Implement communication goals identified on student IEPs.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, other personnel, and/or outside professionals for the purpose of providing requested information, developing plans for services, and/or making recommendations and/or referrals.
  • Follow school-wide systems, rules, and positive behavior interventions.
  • Deliver services in a classroom integration model.
  • Coach classroom staff and SLPAs on the implementation of speech/communication goals.
  • Support staff and students with Augmentative Communication Devices.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with students and families.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Arizona.
  • Experience working with students with special needs and IEPs.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid billing and reimbursement processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with classroom integration and working with diverse student populations.
  • Proficiency in using assistive technology and Augmentative Communication Devices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Benefits

Travel benefits include round-trip airfare, lodging, and meals during the assignment period. Tax-free stipend is provided based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend to be determined.
