Cross Country Education is seeking a School Special Education Teacher for a local contract position in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
About the Role
Provide specialized instruction and individualized support for students with autism spectrum disorders aligned with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Develop, implement, and monitor educational goals, behavioral supports, accommodations, and communication strategies that promote academic, social, and functional skill development. Collaborate with families, related service providers, and multidisciplinary team members to support student progress and success. Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and compliance with special education regulations and district policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification with Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders and implementing evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies preferred
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
- Predictable school schedule with 35 hours per week, paid sick leave, and holidays and weekends off
Pay
Earn $40.30 - $41.20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives.
