About the Role
Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to create an inclusive learning environment and help students with diverse learning needs reach their full potential in Memphis, TN. This role involves providing specialized instruction in a functional skills classroom, using individualized strategies to support students' academic, behavioral, and life skills development.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including instructional goals, accommodations, progress monitoring, and required documentation.
- Collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and school staff to coordinate services and promote student success across educational settings.
- Create a structured, inclusive classroom environment using evidence-based instructional practices and positive behavior support strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Active Tennessee teaching license with an appropriate Special Education endorsement (e.g., Special Education Comprehensive or Interventionist).
- Experience supporting students with disabilities, including those with behavioral and/or emotional needs, preferred.
Pay
Earn $34.90 - $35.60 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives.
