Description

American Traveler is hiring a K‑8 Mandarin Language Arts Teacher for a special areas classroom position, requiring a valid South Carolina teaching certification.

Requirements

• Valid South Carolina teaching certification (license required if applicable)
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred
• Experience teaching a foreign language at the elementary and/or middle school level preferred
• Strong communication and classroom management skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Mandarin language curriculum
• Engage students in interactive, project‑based learning experiences
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Foster a supportive and collaborative classroom environment
• Participate in school‑wide events and activities
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student development
• Maintain accurate records of student performance
• Occasional local travel for school‑related functions may be required
• Complete required compliance modules within 30–90 days of start

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
