AHS Staffing is seeking a School Services School Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Kenai, Alaska.
Requirements
- Valid Alaska Occupational Therapist License
- 40 weeks of full-time work (40 hours per week)
- Flexible schedule: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Two positions available: one elementary only, the other K-12 with some virtual students
- One person works at one school, the other involves a bit more driving and serves some virtual students
- Work in a supportive school environment with young learners
- Contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications
Qualifications
- Valid Alaska Occupational Therapist License
- Experience in assessing students' needs and abilities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Ability to implement individualized therapy plans to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and coordination
- Strong collaboration skills with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
