About the role

The 1:1 School Registered Nurse (RN) oversees the implementation of the nursing process and delivers individualized student care within the school environment.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a primary contact for students, parents, and staff regarding health concerns and issues
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for students
• Collaborates with physicians, other healthcare providers, and school staff to ensure continuity of care
• Ensures compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to school nursing

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing
• One year of school nursing experience, preferred
• Pediatric experience, preferred

Qualifications

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
