School Psychologist - Crisis Prevention and Intervention (Wellness and Engagement)

About the role

The School Psychologist - Crisis Prevention and Intervention position at Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) is dedicated to supporting students' mental health and academic success through crisis prevention and intervention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessments and interventions to support student learning and development
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement comprehensive mental health plans
• Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to improve teaching practices
• Develop and facilitate professional development opportunities for staff on mental health topics
• Assist in developing and implementing school-wide programs to promote wellness and engagement
• Participate in crisis response planning and management

Requirements / Qualifications

• Valid California Pupil Personnel Services credential authorizing services as a School Psychologist
• Master’s Degree in Psychology/Social/Behavioral Sciences, Education or related field
• Teaching experiences desirable
