About the role
The School Psychologist provides psychological services that support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development. The role includes evaluation, consultation, intervention planning, and collaboration with instructional staff and families to promote student success in alignment with program goals and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Interpret assessment data and prepare comprehensive written reports
- Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) and multidisciplinary meetings
- Develop and monitor behavioral and intervention plans
- Provide consultation to teachers, staff, and families regarding student needs
- Support crisis response and behavioral intervention when required
- Assist in the development of strategies to support inclusive learning environments
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and compliance records
- Collaborate with related service providers and instructional staff
- Support social-emotional learning and student well-being initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and sensitive information
- Uphold professional conduct consistent with agency policies and code of conduct
Requirements
- Must be Bilingual/Multilingual (Spanish/English)
- New York State certification as a School Psychologist
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Knowledge of special education law and evaluation procedures
- Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to culturally responsive and equitable practices

Pay
$60,307 - $85,536 (BOCES Faculty Association contract).
