School Psychologist

Location: Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, United States (On-Site) • Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and reevaluations, including administering, scoring, and interpreting cognitive, academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and adaptive behavior assessments.
  • Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and determine eligibility for special education services in accordance with IDEA and Chapter 14.
  • Develop recommendations for educational programming, accommodations, and interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, families, and related service providers as a consultant on instructional practices, behavior management, and interventions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams, problem-solving teams, and the Student Assistance Program (SAP).
  • Support Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks.
  • Facilitate communication among school personnel, parents, and community agencies.
  • Provide individual and group counseling, and develop and implement behavioral intervention plans and positive behavior support strategies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support crisis intervention.
  • Promote social-emotional learning and student wellness.
  • Attend IEP meetings, reevaluation conferences, and manifestation determination meetings.
  • Ensure timely completion of evaluations and required documentation, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
  • Monitor student progress and evaluate intervention effectiveness, maintaining accurate and confidential student records.
  • Provide professional development to faculty and staff on school psychology topics.
  • Remain current on school psychology developments, educational research, and legal requirements.
  • Contribute to district initiatives on student achievement, school climate, and mental health.

Requirements

  • Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid Pennsylvania School Psychologist Certification.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, Chapter 14, and Chapter 15.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • PA State Police Criminal History Clearance.
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
  • Federal Criminal History Record (FBI Fingerprint Clearance).
  • Act 168 Employment History Review.
