About the role
Responsible for assisting with event setup and breakdown, as well as project setup, resetting, and other assigned project work. Join Campus Services Group (CSG) as a School Day Porter, helping keep the school clean and safe by performing daily janitorial tasks. You’ll work closely with staff and students, ensuring the school meets high cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial tasks in entryways, corridors, classrooms, cafeterias, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, floors, and commodes, replenishing lavatory supplies as needed.
- Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and remove graffiti.
- Use cleaning solutions safely, adhering to all safety precautions.
- Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
- Assist with event support and respond to paging systems promptly.
- Follow infection control and handwashing procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Ensure customer service and cleaning standards are consistently met.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
- Must complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.
- Must be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts.
- Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours daily.
- Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customers.
- Must provide a criminal background check.

Pay
Starting from USD $20.00/Hr. Offered salary rates for this position are determined based on applicant qualifications, experience, education, and the specific needs, aspects, operational considerations, and requirements of the facility serviced.
