School Police Officer

Job Description

The primary responsibility of a School Police Officer is to maintain a safe and secure environment within the school district. This includes patrolling school grounds, responding to emergencies, and providing security during school events.

Responsibilities

• Patrol school grounds to ensure safety and security
• Respond to emergencies and incidents on school premises
• Provide security during school events and activities
• Interact with students, staff, and visitors in a professional manner
• Follow all policies and procedures set forth by the school district and law enforcement agencies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Current Pennsylvania State Police Certification
• Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to schools and law enforcement
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Qualifications

• Experience working in a law enforcement capacity preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical fitness and stamina suitable for law enforcement duties
