Job Description

The School Playground Recreation Aide (Elementary) position at San Juan Unified School District is a part-time, 10-month/year, 5-day/week position. The position is scheduled from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of students during recess and playtime
• Ensure playground equipment is safe and in good working order
• Participate in school events and activities as needed
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
• Communicate effectively with teachers and other staff members

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid California Driver’s License
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults
• Knowledge of child development and safety practices

Qualifications

• Experience working with children
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• First aid/cpr certification preferred
