About the role

Monitor student behavior in the cafeteria, on the playground, and other locations at an assigned school site.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of school discipline policies.
• Knowledge of positive behavior management techniques and discipline of children.
• Knowledge of basic child guidance principles and practices.
• Knowledge of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
• Knowledge of reading and writing communication skills.
• Knowledge of interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
• Ability to monitor and discipline students according to approved policies and procedures.
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding, patient, respectful and receptive attitude toward students of all ages.
• Ability to effectively supervise and care for children with varying degrees of development and needs in various activities.
• Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters related to students.
• Ability to initiate accident reports.
• Ability to understand and work within scope of authority.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
• Ability to learn the procedures, functions and limitations of assigned duties.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.

Requirements

Education and experience: Any combination equivalent to a high school diploma or equivalent and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.

Required documents: High School Diploma or Equivalent OR Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree or Higher Education Degree must be attached to the application on or before the deadline.
