School Physical Therapist - $2,224 per week

About the role

This is a contract position for a School Physical Therapist in New Windsor, New York.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate the vision, values, mission and critical goals of the organization into job performance.
• Perform duties including but not limited to lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing and pulling students in wheelchairs, lifting, bending, squatting, turning in the knees, pivoting, and grasping with both hands (for proper and safe performance of CPR/First Aid, behavior intervention techniques, and lifting and carrying techniques).
• Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of patients.

Requirements

• Doctoral Degree or master’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited school.
• Licensed with NYS Department of Education, or eligible for licensure (temporary permit).

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push and pull students in wheelchairs, lift, bend, squat, turn in the knees, pivot and grasp with both hands (in order to properly and safely perform the techniques taught in CPR/First Aid, behavior intervention techniques, and lifting and carrying techniques), with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Valid NYS driver's license deemed acceptable by our insurance carrier.

Pay

The pay package is based on 6.5 hour shifts and 32.5 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

8:30am-3:30pm schedule.
