About the role

Become a School Photographer with JostensPIX – a seasonal position starting August 4, 2026. You must reside in the Rockville, MD or Bethesda, MD area and the surrounding location. We're looking for individuals passionate about capturing life's best moments to join our fast-growing, fun-loving team – no experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Capture genuine smiles and priceless school memories
  • Use your personal vehicle to travel to local schools and support picture day
  • Transport, set up, and take down photography equipment at school locations for photo day events
  • Use photo software to organize and manage images
  • Build hands-on photography experience in a dynamic, fast-paced setting

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (must be 18+)
  • A reliable, insured vehicle and valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Willingness to start early (driving start times as early as 4 AM!) and occasional extended hours when travel is involved
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of camera equipment
  • Ability to store camera equipment in home when not in use
  • A cheerful, friendly personality – especially around kids
  • Comfortable working in a school environment with children of all ages and abilities
  • Strong communication, customer service, and tech skills
  • Comfort working independently for smaller events after training
  • Travel to schools, as scheduled, for photo day events
  • Comfortable working with computers / cameras and ability to learn new programs
  • Reliable cell phone and internet access

Qualifications

No photography experience is required, as paid training is included. You'll be taught everything you need to know to succeed in this role.

Skills

Strong communication, customer service, and tech skills are necessary for this position. You should also be comfortable working with computers and cameras, and be able to learn new programs.

Pay

Average 30+ hours per week, with the possibility of overtime pay during peak weeks. You should be willing to start early (driving start times as early as 4 AM!) and work occasional extended hours when travel is involved.
