School of Health Professions- Physical Therapy Faculty (Neurologic PT)

D’Youville University seeks a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, specializing in neurologic physical therapy with an interest in contributing to the clinical education curriculum.

About the Role

This faculty position supports teaching, curriculum development, and shared governance within a CAPTE-accredited program. Faculty rank will be determined based on experience and qualifications. The role involves contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the DPT curriculum within a collaborative, shared-governance model.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the neurologic area of practice and contribute to the broader curriculum as appropriate.
• Assist the Director of Clinical Education in delivering high-quality clinical education experiences and applying best practices in clinical teaching.
• Develop, update, and evaluate course materials, and participate in the assessment of student learning.
• Support student success through advising, mentorship, and regular office hours.
• Engage with clinical partners, the Simulation Center, and the Thrive Rehabilitation Center to enhance experiential learning.
• Participate in department, school, and university committees, including Faculty Senate representation.
• Contribute to scholarship consistent with the Boyer Model, including teaching, integration, application, discovery, and engagement.

Qualifications

• Eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• Earned Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) plus advanced specialty certification or a research/academic doctorate (NCS, PhD, EdD, DSc, etc.).
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience, including student supervision.
• Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.

Pay

$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually.
