About the role

American Traveler is hiring a school-based Occupational Therapist for a pediatric caseload in the Redding, CA area. New graduates are welcome to apply.

This is a 13-week travel assignment with the possibility of extension through the full school year. The role involves serving multiple school sites in Trinity and Shasta counties, based out of a Redding office. Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate, and first-time travelers are welcome.

Schedule

• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week on an 8-hour shift schedule
• Start Date: August 31, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks

Responsibilities

• Schedule planning for pediatric caseload
• Conduct evaluations and design treatment programs
• Implement therapy programs for school-aged children
• Travel between multiple school sites in Shasta and Trinity counties (mileage and travel time reimbursed)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current California Occupational Therapy license
• Valid Driver's License
• BLS certification
• NBCOT certification preferred
• No prior experience required; new graduates accepted
• Experience with pediatric populations, autism, cerebral palsy, sensory integration, and handwriting programs preferred
