School Nutrition Worker

About the role

School Nutrition Worker at Clark Wilkins Elementary School, working 4 hours per day. This position helps ensure students and staff have all necessary items for their meals and facilitates an efficient dining environment. Reports directly to the Kitchen Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties or tasks communicated by the Kitchen Manager.
• Set up and break down serving stations according to the daily menu.
• Prepare, assemble, and replenish food and beverages.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
• Display a positive and friendly attitude toward students, staff, coworkers, and management.
• Maintain proper personal hygiene and adhere to the dress code.

Requirements

• Ability to adapt and work well in a changing environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport food safely from Wilkins Elementary to Clark Elementary.
• Self-motivated; comfortable working alone for up to two hours at a time while serving lunch at Clark Elementary.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push or pull heavy carts and racks.
• Ability to work in varied temperatures (e.g., freezer, hot kitchen during spring/summer months).
• Strong communication skills and good customer relations.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes.

Qualifications

• Desirable: High school graduate or equivalent GED.
