About the role

The School Nutrition Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the nutritional programs in local schools. This includes ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, managing staff, and providing training to ensure high-quality meal service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and compliance with all federal and state nutrition regulations.
• Manage and train staff to ensure efficient and effective meal service.
• Ensure that all food safety standards are met.
• Collaborate with school administrators and other stakeholders to improve meal quality and satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure availability of nutritious and affordable food options.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, food science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of USDA regulations and guidelines.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with food service management systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Strong understanding of nutrition and food science principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Pay

Salary range: $40,000 - $50,000 annually.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with some evening and weekend shifts required.
