About the role
The School Nurse at Wiscasset Elementary School (WES) plays a crucial role in supporting the health and well-being of students from preschool through 5th grade. WES is situated along the banks of the Sheepscott River in the historic village of Wiscasset.
Responsibilities
- Dealing with a wide range of medical conditions and providing triage
- Electronic recordkeeping for all students
- Knowledge of relevant State and DOE Requirements/Guidelines
- Experience with school nursing is preferred, but candidates with a passion for working with children in grades PK-5 and recent graduates will also be considered
- Excellent interpersonal skills are essential
Requirements
- RN certification
- Appropriate background check through the DOE
