Responsibilities
- Care for sudden illness or injury in school health room
- Conduct mass screenings and appraisals
- Control communicable diseases through exclusion and readmission authorization
- Provide individual health instruction to students
- Collaborate with parents, care providers, and community resources
- Review and assess student immunization records
- Ensure personal continuing education and professional development
- Secure and maintain first aid and CPR certifications
- Comply with lead nurse's direction on nursing practices
- Perform other duties as necessary
Requirements
- Valid LPN license
- Two or more years of experience in school or public health
- Pediatric experience preferred
