School Nurse

Responsibilities

• Attend to student specific medical and nursing needs, including those outlined in IEP and 504 plans as applicable
• Attend to medical and nursing needs for specific students during transportation to and from school
• Train and support staff on medically related practices, preventative measures and safety awareness
• Cook and support staff on medically related practices, preventative measures and safety awareness
• Cook and support staff on medically related practices, preventative measures and safety awareness
• Coordinate, create and maintain student specific Health Care and Safe Eating Plans
• Contact and coordinate care and update medical information between a child's medical doctor and the school
• Consistently collaborate with professional staff, paraprofessional staff and parents to support school related medical care decisions
• Maintain medical records for all students
• Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
