School Nurse

About the role

Middletown Township Public Schools is seeking a qualified nurse to promote health and safety in the school environment and provide health services to students, faculty, and staff. This position may be a replacement, tenure track, or registered nurse position.

Qualifications

• NJ School Nurse certificate or NJ Substitute Nurse certificate required
• Demonstrated expertise in school health nursing practice and emergency procedures
• Knowledge of child growth and development, community and family dynamics, current health issues, and wellness education
• Knowledge of community health and social services resources and ability to communicate effectively with nonschool health professionals and social service agencies
• Criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required
• Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver, or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment

Pay

• Tenure Track Position: Salary Range: $60,673 - $126,533 (as per the negotiated contract and commensurate with experience)
• Replacement Position: Salary Range: $60,073 - $87,073 (as per the negotiated contract and commensurate with level of education)
• Registered Nurse: Salary Range: $54,000 - $58,000

Schedule

Position available from August 27, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
