Job Overview
Roles And Responsibilities
- Checks temperatures;
- Renders limited first aid;
- Affords assistance with screening procedures.
- Affords assistance with maintenance of immunization records;
- Informs appropriate officials of deficits.
- Affords assistance with helping aides learn how to organize their clinics;
- Affords assistance with familiarizing aides with appropriate documentation procedures.
- Affords assistance with documenting clinic visits and care provided daily.
- Affords assistance with administering medication appropriately per School District's medication policy;
- Affords assistance with documenting administration of medication.
Qualifications
- Graduation from high school and experience in providing nurse assistant services;
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the following knowledge, abilities, and skills:
- Knowledge of basic health practices;
- Knowledge of basic computer skills;
- Ability to deal effectively with students requiring health assistance;
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
