Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling, or related field is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in a school or community-based setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of local community resources and support services.
- Must be able to travel around the county to complete school checks/transport on occasion.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage is required.
- Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus.

Summary of Position
School Liaison is a non-traditional way of providing intensive individualized truancy services in a variety of community-based settings, in the home, school, and community, to youth with truancy issues identified by the educational settings and school district that the youth attends and their family. This role supports student success by improving communication, coordinating services, and promoting engagement by building and maintaining positive relationships with students, families, and staff. The goal is to implement sound clinical interventions and support services to enable the youth to maintain and function appropriately in the educational setting and school environment that they are enrolled as a student.
