Qualifications
- A High School Diploma/GED
- Maine Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) approval
- Demonstrates ability to relate to students and other adults
- Capable of moving and operating equipment required for snow blowing, floor cleaning, and other building and grounds related maintenance activities
- Ability to lift sixty pounds
- Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, and painting to make minor repairs
- Such other alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Directors may find appropriate or acceptable
JOB GOAL
To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn, play, and develop.
The holder of this position has the responsibility for all building and grounds custodial needs at Forest Hills Consolidated School. Additionally, the custodian shall aid in the performance of some maintenance tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the daily instructional program.
The individual shall demonstrate an attitude and/or actual experience that will indicate suitability to work in a child-centered environment. This will include, but not limited to, appropriate use of language, respect for property, concern for others, and willingness to assist when needed.
