School Counselor (Part-Time)

About the role
As a School Counselor, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the behavioral, personal, emotional, and social development of students. With our resources and ongoing support, you’ll create a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment that fosters student growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Positively impact students’ educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being.
- Provide personalized, small-group, and classroom counseling focusing on academic, emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs.
- Conduct learning assessments to reveal students' strengths and areas for growth, informing referrals as needed.
- Empower parents and school staff by connecting them with community resources tailored to students' unique needs.
- Ensure administrative excellence by completing accurate, efficient paperwork.
- Stay updated on field trends to enhance guidance and support for students.
- Adhere to the Counseling Policy Manual, funding guidelines, and school procedures to foster trust and reliability.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counseling or related field.
- Active NYS Counseling Certificate.
- Experience working with students (K-8) desired.

Pay
$46–$60 per hour, depending on years of experience and degree type.
