Responsibilities

• Deliver prevention and intervention programs to all students to help them achieve mastery of school counseling standards.
• Create and implement individual student planning to help all students plan, monitor, and manage their own learning.
• Provide responsive services such as individual or small group counseling and support to address immediate student needs that are interrupting their learning.
• Make referrals to connect students and families to school and community resources.
• Consult with stakeholders to share strategies that support student achievement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support student achievement and advocate for access and equity for all students.
• Plan and manage the counseling program, including assessments, tools, and systems used to efficiently and effectively deliver the comprehensive school counseling program.
• Analyze the program to determine its effectiveness.
• Share fair-share responsibilities with other school staff to ensure the smooth operation of the school.

Qualifications

• Completed the State of Tennessee requirements for school counseling educator licensure and preparation.
• Demonstrated competency in working effectively both on a team and independently.
• Demonstrated ability to organize multiple priorities and maintain a flexible schedule.
• Successfully met all health, physical, and background checks.
