Juliet is looking for a passionate and nurturing School Chef to join our team and make a difference in the lives of young learners! In this role, you'll have the opportunity to create wholesome, delicious meals that fuel growing minds and bodies in a warm, welcoming daycare environment. Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks for daycare children dailyFollow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in accordance with local health regulationsManage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing food wasteAccommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special nutritional needs of childrenMaintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all timesCollaborate with school staff to align menus with nutritional guidelines and program schedules Requirements: Previous experience in food service, institutional cooking, or school/childcare nutrition preferredKnowledge of child nutrition standards Valid food handler's permit or ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)Ability to manage time effectively and prepare meals for large groups efficientlyStrong understanding of food allergies, cross-contamination prevention, and safe food handlingWarm, caring demeanor with a genuine love for working in a child-centered environmentAbility to pass a background check as required for childcare settings About Us: Primrose School of Mt.
