School Bus Driver- No Experience Needed! Training Provided

We are hiring a School Bus Driver immediately in Palmer, AK. Starting pay rate is $24.73/hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews are available from Monday to Friday, 8am-3pm. Durham School Services offers competitive rates, flexible schedules, and career opportunities.

About the role

Join us to provide safe and reliable transportation services for students. We train our drivers to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and ensure they meet all physical and medical requirements. Our drivers are expected to maintain a cooperative attitude, follow company policies, and report any accidents or incidents promptly.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus or other location-specific vehicle with a fixed or changing route.
• Exhibit ethical best practices and personal integrity.
• Report to duty on time and maintain routes safely.
• Physically assist passengers in evacuation during emergencies.
• Immediately report any accidents or incidents according to company policy.
• Follow Company policies regarding student and/or passenger management.
• Present a neat and professional appearance at all times.
• Complete required paperwork and submit to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.
• Communicate problems and procedures to relevant personnel.
• Practice defensive driving and avoid accidents.
• Safely and efficiently utilize vehicle equipment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old; 25 years old for Tennessee School Bus Drivers.
• Must have or be able to obtain all valid applicable state licenses and certifications.
• Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening.
• Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training.
• Must practice defensive driving at all times.
• Must comply with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract-specific Driver requirements.
