Requirements / Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Driver's License Copy (Class A or B with a Passenger Endorsement)
• Health (Current Medical Card)
• Letter of Introduction
• Letter(s) of Recommendation (2 letters required, must be dated & signed within the last two years)
• Valid California School Bus Certificate
• Resume

Testing Details

Testing Location: 302 N. Midway Drive, Escondido, CA 92027

Test Date: 09/22/2026 – please arrive by 8:30 am. A photo ID is required to test.

All applicants must participate in job‑specific testing and pass with a score of 70 % or higher.

• 6:00 am‑8:30 am ; 1:30 pm‑5:00 pm (6 hrs)
• 6:30 am‑8:30 am ; 1:55 pm‑4:55 pm (5 hrs)
• 6:30 am‑8:30 am ; 1:30 pm‑4:00 pm (4.5 hrs)

Application Process

Completed applications must be submitted no later than the close of business on the filing deadline date.

Applicants who score within the qualifying range will be referred to site administrators for a personal interview. Qualified applicants currently employed by the District will receive first consideration.

Employment Conditions

• Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a physical examination, including drug and alcohol screening.
• All new employees must provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States and a TB test.
• All new employees will be fingerprinted for clearance through the Department of Justice.
• Employment is subject to a successful criminal background check.
