About the role

The school bus driver position at Holcomb Bus involves starting pay of $28.00/hr. and a guarantee of 20 hours per week in New Jersey, contingent upon the school being open. Work schedule includes Monday through Friday, with mandatory 2+ hours in the morning between 6 AM-9:30 AM and 2+ hours in the afternoon between 1:00 PM-5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Drive school buses safely and efficiently
• Ensure all students are safely transported to and from their destinations
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations
• Communicate effectively with students and parents
• Adhere to strict schedules and punctuality

Requirements

• Valid CDL with P&S endorsements
• License must be in good standing for the last 3 years
• Aged 21 years or older
• Pass a background check from age 18 onwards
• Pass a DOT drug test (Marijuana is legal in NJ but not allowed for a CDL)

Qualifications

• Experience driving school buses preferred
• Good communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
