School Bus Driver

About the Role

As a Part Time School Bus Driver with First Student, you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of the students you transport. You will be there at the start of the students' day with before-school pickup and at the end with an afternoon shift to bring students safely back home. No experience as a bus driver is required—we provide industry-leading training to help you succeed.

Responsibilities

• Split shift: early morning before-school pickup and afternoon drop-off with a few free hours in between
• Guaranteed shift of 4 hours per school day (no nights or weekends unless you choose additional hours)
• Opportunity for extra hours through trips and charters when available

Pay

• Starting pay: $27.04 per hour
• $3,000 sign-on bonus for fully licensed drivers (conditions apply; expires 12/31/26)
• Referral bonuses available

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
• No prior bus driving experience necessary
• Position is subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive role (DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason)
