School Bus Driver

Position Summary

A school bus driver supports the school district by providing transportation to our students. Ensures students arrive safely to and from school every day.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid school bus driver's license (CDL).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a DOT Medical Certification Card.
• Previous driving experience preferred but not required.
• Interest in working in a school district environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, employees, and parents.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with employees.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: The wage for this position ranges from $26.64 to $27.76 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Most candidates will start at the entry-level rate of $26.64 per hour.

About the Role

The Edina Public Schools Transportation Center is a state of the art facility. The 62,000 square foot facility hosts 22 bus bays which, unlike many neighboring districts, allows the district to store all buses throughout the winter months. It also boasts a conference room, ample room for mechanical work, employee break room, and additional front office space.
