School Bus Driver

Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Transportation, this role involves operating school buses to transport students and performing related duties, including vehicle performance.

Schedule

• Minimum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, 205 days per year
• Times vary by route

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses to transport students safely
• Perform related work, including vehicle maintenance and performance checks

Requirements

• Ability to pass an annual physical examination
• Ohio Commercial Driver’s License, Class B, SP for bus drivers
• Ability to read and write
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
• Good motor coordination, finger and manual dexterity, and physical ability to perform all essential job functions
• Verbal ability and strong communication skills
• Fewer than three (3) points on Driver’s License in the last two (2) years
• Ohio pre-service training program certification
• Five years of driving experience
• High School Diploma or GED

Pay

Starting at Step 1: $21.21 per hour
