School-Based Therapist
Position Summary
We are seeking a School Based Therapist to join our dynamic team. This role involves working with clients and their treatment teams to help them achieve their goals. Services are provided in schools and in-home settings, and therapists must be willing to travel.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical intakes and ensure medical necessity is met
- Drive the treatment planning process from intake to discharge based on client diagnosis and needs
- Deliver individual, family, and group therapy as required
- Maintain billable hours and complete and accurate client records
- Manage billing units and prior authorizations for each client (if applicable)
- Transport clients as needed and travel between locations as essential functions of the position
- Submit all documentation in a timely, accurate, and complete manner
- Understand and execute Necco's core software applications
- Conduct safety planning and submit critical incidents or other risk-related concerns in a timely manner
- Participate in and/or provide clinical and/or billing supervision
- Maintain provisions of professional license and/or certification
- Collaborate with the treatment team
- Aid and mentor in training team members on strategies for mental health issues
Qualifications
- Masters degree and professional licensure (LSW)—contingency of obtaining LGSW, LCSW, LICSW or LPCC, LPC (West Virginia only)
- Advanced Degree in a human services discipline with preferred experience in mental health treatment of children with emotional or behavioral disabilities and their families, and possess a valid Mental Health Practitioner’s License (Kentucky only)
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in a human services discipline with one (1) year of experience in mental health treatment, and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in mental health treatment of children with emotional or behavioral disabilities and their families, and a valid Ohio Mental Health Practitioner’s License (Ohio only)
- Valid driver’s license and required insurance coverage
- Training and Travel willingness
- Successful completion of all required criminal background checks
- Skills to navigate and execute software programs (i.e Microsoft Office, Database, Electronic Health Record, Dashboard)
