School-based Peds Dentist in Pulaski and Montgomery County, VA

About the role

This role is part of a broader effort to expand access to care across Virginia by meeting patients where they are. Through school-based services, we’re improving health outcomes early—and supporting healthier communities for the long term.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental care to pediatric patients (and select adults)
• Perform exams, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
• Deliver preventive care (sealants, fluoride, education)
• Treat acute and chronic dental conditions (restorations, extractions, minor procedures)
• Refer patients for specialty care when needed
• Educate patients and families on oral health

Requirements

• DDS or DMD from an accredited program
• Active Virginia dental license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA registration

• Passion for working with pediatric and underserved populations

• Commitment to community-based, mission-driven care
• Comfort working independently in a school-based setting
• Strong communication with patients, families, and staff

Benefits

• 4-day workweek (Mon–Thurs)
• 32–40 hours/week

Pay

• $200K – $230K

Schedule

• Travel between school sites

What Your Day Looks Like

• Work directly within local schools—meeting patients where they are
• Travel between nearby school sites
• Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and care teams
• Be part of an integrated care model (including medical and behavioral health referrals)
