School Based Mental Health Therapist - Baltimore County
Balance Point Wellness is an ACHC-accredited, community-based holistic mental health and wellness center offering counseling, psychiatry, adventure therapy, and wellness services to individuals and families across Maryland. With locations in Baltimore, Bel Air, Salisbury, and Hunt Valley, we also provide telehealth services and a school-based program in Baltimore County and Harford County Schools.
About the role
We are seeking qualified licensed therapists (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LCMFT, Psychologist, etc.) to provide mental health therapy to children and adolescents in Baltimore County schools. This is a W2 Fee-for-Service position with no cap on earnings. Please note: this is not a Guidance Counselor role but a Mental Health Therapist position within Baltimore County schools.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned caseload and provide ongoing therapy
- Complete psychosocial assessments
- Document contact notes for all sessions in a cloud-based EHR
- Develop person-centered treatment plans as needed
Requirements
- Master’s or doctorate in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
- Licensed in Maryland to provide mental health treatment
- Psychotherapy experience in a community setting preferred
- Pass a background check
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills
