About the role
The Autism Clinic, a division of Hope, a nationally recognized non-profit, provides therapeutic services to children aged 2-8 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Responsibilities
- Teach children with ASD using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Communicate with families/guardians about their child’s progress.
- Track session data and help clients achieve individualized communication and early learning goals.
- Auxiliary in planning and preparing for clinic-based group activities.
- Model professional appearance and attitudes.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Successful background clearance.
Qualifications
- Possession of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a psychology, education, or human services related field.
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Enthusiasm for working with children.
- Obtained Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in ABA techniques and principles.
